Are you someone who enjoys watching competitions, especially races? Or are you someone who appreciates the environment? If you have answered yes to either of these questions, then the 2nd annual Northern California Solar Regatta is just the event you’ve been waiting for.
This big competition between high-school students in the field of solar-powered racing in Northern California is happening in cooperation with the Sacramento Municipal Utility District, which has chosen to sponsor this year’s Regatta at the Rancho Seco Recreational Area. Students from all across the region, from Fresno to the Oregon border, will race solar-powered boats and attempt to win prizes at this educational and exciting event. Whether you or someone you know is competing in the race, or if you’re just there to see what students from several different schools have done to give them the title among the best of San Joaquin County’s students, the event will guarantee you good fun.
