When Carol Evans' daughter turned 14, she began volunteering for People Assisting Lodi Animal Shelter (PALS). After working there for several months, she convinced Evans to also help out. Together, mother and daughter began walking dogs for the organization. Since March of 2006, Evans has been dedicated to helping out at PALS, and says she believes that she and her daughter are the only mother-daughter team there.
