Lodi Elks Lodge No. 1900 Corp of Officers participated in their annual Ritual Contest against seven other Elk Lodges in their District and won first place. Stockton Elks Lodge No. 218 came in second place. The Elks ritual is where all officers who are initiating new members into their order go through a program in a choreographed manner to explain what the Elks are all about.

They have to memorize the charge of their station, some having up to 631 words, and being word pronunciation perfect (such as “hour” to pronounce the word “our” or emphasis the “d” at the end of “and”, etc.), stand or sit in unison, certain movements pertaining to their station and impressiveness.
