On a mild-weathered afternoon, students can be seen tending to grape vines on the two-acre school farm at Tokay High School. Inside a building at Galt, Lodi and Tokay High Schools, students might be welding agricultural machinery or working on speeches and job interviews. At home, they take care of animals to show in competitions.

It's all part of the hands-on learning experience that local Future Farmers of America chapters offer to students, helping them to decide what they want to do in the future.
