What’s the attraction: Pier 39, located on San Francisco’s historic waterfront, celebrated its 35th year in 2013. The pier was constructed with authentic 1910 wood from Piers 34 and 3 and originally featured 23 restaurants, 50 shops, a diving pool and street performers. Today, it is a 45-acre complex that offers a little something for everyone including 30 restaurants, 70 shops, a variety of shows to take in and other special attractions to see.

Shop till you drop: There are a wide variety of shops to browse, where you can find almost anything you are looking for. There is Antiquities, where you can find celebrity memorabilia. Bay-related gift items can be found at Aquarium of the Bay Gift Shop. You can find fashion jewelry for all ages at Bliss. The store offers necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings from Brazil, New York and Los Angeles. You can browse through Only in San Francisco to find everything you can imagine about San Francisco. At Animal Country, there are a wide range of items that feature animal designs. You can even stuff and dress a bear of your choice in the store. At other specialty shops you can find items such as charms, magnets, NFL and college gifts and candles.
