Sharon Souza had a vision of publishing a book. Since elementary school, the 56-year-old Acampo resident has felt a love for creative writing. It was her hobby - until she decided to experiment. She gave herself three months to write a book, which she said was a good learning experience. That's when it all began. Her first book was published in 2004, and her third, "Lying On Sunday," was released two weeks ago.

Her most creative time is at night, she said, when she is in that relaxed state. She gets up in the middle of the night and starts writing, sometimes for up to three hours.

I am a unpublished writer and aspire one day oseeing my supernatural stories one day being in print. I am proud of Sharon's accomplishments! It is hard for an unpublished writer to get his or her book in print, because New Writers are an "Unknown risk of success or failure, and publishers look at writers as $$$$ much of the time. After all, if you were in a book store, would you recognize Sharon Souza as easily as Stephen King or some other big name author! I wish Sharon the best of success.
