What's the attraction: Sutter Creek is known as "The Jewel of Gold Country" because of its quaint charm and historic setting. Downtown Sutter Creek has the look of an old gold-mining town with original historic storefronts. But inside, you will find treasures that are new and old, as well as tasty eats and sweet treats. Sutter Creek is an extremely walkable town. Explore vintage shops and even wander through surrounding neighborhoods to see bridges and lush streams.
What to do: You can't go to Sutter Creek without doing a little shopping. You can find antiques, art, home decor, gifts, clothing and artisan foods and wines. I love Sutter Creek's vintage shopping. On a recent weekend, I explored favorites like The Antique Gardener, Columbian Lady, Creekside Antiques and Cozy Collectibles.
