Culinary underground: Local chefs hang out

Several Lodi chefs have some things in common other than a love for cooking: They like to watch the Food Network, and they like to share methods, experiment and come up with new ideas.

"There's a culinary underground in Lodi," said David Nielsen, executive chef at Rosewood in Lodi and co-owner of Amicci's Catering. "We're all family here. We teach each other everything we know."
