Preston Castle, famed to be haunted, was once used as a School of Industry for troubled youth. Although there was little violence on the grounds while in operation, the head housekeeper was murdered and a young a man who attempted escape was shot to death on his third attempt. He was buried on the property along with other young men who died while living within the walls of the castle - most due to diseases.
