A chance to enjoy one of the biggest holiday shows in California comes not just in December, but on this very month. On Friday, Nov. 29, there will be a Christmas parade in historic downtown Sonora, as part of the 39th annual Sonora Christmas Craft and Music Festival, well-known as a spirited celebration of the Christmas season and one of California’s largest holiday shows.

The parade, which is in its 30th year, will have floats, bands, store specials, and food — all at night, with visual and audio delights peppering the occasion, and even Mr. and Mrs. Claus on Santa’s sleigh at the end of the parade. The festival proper will feature music, family vaudeville entertainment, carolers, arts, crafts, food, and even elves.
