Nearly every town has its great festival honoring its greatest crop. For Lodi it’s the Grape Festival, which comes in September, and for Stockton it’s the Asparagus Festival. Ripon, however, has a more unique festival to boast, as the Almond Blossom Festival celebrates its 52nd year this weekend.
This event will have the theme of “Hometown Hoe-down — a Salute to Agriculture.” This event is Ripon’s biggest event of the year, and hopes to be the kickoff to the upcoming spring festival season. It promises to be very popular, and Ripon anticipates up to 35,000 people to come this year.
