Karolyn McGladdery first began taking piano lessons when she was in first grade. She went on to be a piano major in college and then got her Bachelor of Arts degree in music with a piano performance emphasis. McGladdery taught traditional piano lessons for a number of years and then heard about the Suzuki Piano Method. She took lessons to learn how to teach it and has been teaching the method ever since.
On Saturday, McGladdery will be performing in a 10-piano concert with current and former students. She took some time on a recent afternoon to explain the method and talk about the upcoming concert.
