House of Coffees has many great features: small local business, supports community, very nice pastries, plenty of gossip if you are in the circle, whip cream, sprinkles, lots of sugar flavors…. Their coffees (and teas for that matter) would not be positive aspects to include on this list. Titling this article "Art of Coffee" than have a barista from this location highlight methods to disguise the taste and quality of poor coffee is absurd.
There IS a great art behind creating and serving a beautiful cup of espresso or coffee, much as there is to a glass of wine. It is surprising how Lodi can take such pride in the crafting of one renowned beverage and disregard their taste buds when it comes to another. When Dancing Fox opened, I had great hopes of enjoying a quality poured latte but was greatly disappointed. Java Stop even roasts beans right there, and yet have baristas that massacre any hope of having an enjoyable drink. I have learned that when visiting home, I’m going to have to go with out my beverage of choice unless making a trip to Sacramento, Modesto, or the bay area.
If writing an article about the art of coffee, maybe a writer should consider going to an establishment that practices and takes pride in the Art of Coffee.
By the way, did you hear Manti Te’o’s girlfriend died?
