Nicholas Ishii

Marine Corps 1st Lt. Nicholas Ishii completed advanced helicopter training at Naval Air Training Command, NAS Whiting Field, Milton, Fla. On Sept. 14, Ishii was awarded his wings as a Naval Aviator Marine Corps pilot. He will be assigned to Camp Pendleton near San Diego, where he will be flying the Bell AH-1 Cobra helicopter.

Ishii is a 2004 graduate of Tokay High School and a 2006 graduate of San Joaquin Delta College. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Fullerton State University in 2008. He is also a 2009 graduate of the Marines Officer Candidates School and 2010 Officers Basic School in Quantico, Va. He is the son of Kim and Carl Ishii of Lodi.
