Lodi Unified School District
Thirteen candidates are seeking to represent areas 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6
on the Lodi Unified School District board of trustees.
Incumbent Bonnie Cassel hopes to retain her seat on the Lodi
Unified School District board come November, but is being
challenged by Anthony Silva and David Schindler. The three are
running for Area 1, which encompasses the rural communities of
Lockeford, Clements, Morada and Acampo.
Both Dana Ann Baker and George Neely hope Lodi Unified School
District voters want to see change.

Calvin Young in this year’s school board race for the seat that
represents Area 4 — and they both know a thing or two about
Two Lodi-area natives are going head-to-head to fill the Area 5
seat on the Lodi Unified School District board. Ron Heberle and
Michael Staples are running against one another after incumbent
Jeff Thompson decided not to seek re-election.
Three political newcomers are hoping to fill the remaining
two-year term of the Lodi Unified School District board seat left
vacant by Harvey Bills. They are Michael Abdallah, Karen Hettervik
and Frank Michael. The position serves Area 6, and the term expires
