Democrat Richard Pan and Republican Tony Amador of Lodi won the state’s 9th Assembly District race.

With all the precincts counted early today, Pan had 15,808 votes, or 37.3 percent; Amador had 8,770 votes, or 20.7 percent; Republican Sophia Scherman had 6,462 votes, or 15.3 percent; Democrat Tom Santos had 5,552 votes, or 13.1 percent; Republican Edward Nemeth had 4,482 votes, or 10.6 percent; and C.T. Weber of the Peace and Freedom Party had 1,290 votes, or 3 percent.
