McNerney holds early lead in 9th Congressional District race

Rep. Jerry McNerney, D-Stockton, is leading challenger Tony Amador, a Republican from Lodi, in the race for the 9th Congressional District seat.

As of 10 p.m. on Tuesday, McNerney had 58.2 percent (46,484) of votes cast while Amador had 42.7 percent (34,635 votes) with only 41.8 percent of precincts reporting.
