Brown appoints former Galt teacher to state post

John Dunn, who formerly worked for a local school district, has been appointed by Gov. Jerry Brown as the assistant secretary for apprenticeship and worker training at the California Labor and Workforce Development Agency, where he has served as a special consultant since 2017.

Dunn, who now lives in Sacramento, was a teacher for the Galt Joint Union High School District from 1997 to 2004. He earned a Master of Arts in education from California State University, Sacramento.
