On Tuesday, the Lodi Unified School District board also:
- Elected Ron Freitas as president, Ron Heberle as vice president and Ralph Womack as clerk of the board for 2016.
- Recognized Joe Nava for his service as president of the board during 2015.
- Recognized Nancy Rostomily, director of Food Services, and her department for receiving the California Kids Innovation Award for their work on the California Thursdays program in the district.
- Named Trustees Ralph Womack, Daryl Talken and Ron Heberle as members of the board audit review committee; Heberle and George Neely as members of the 2-by-2 committee for the City of Lodi; Nava and Womack as members of the 2-by-2 committee with the City of Stockton; Nava as a representative on the Stockton Parks and Recreation Commission; Freitas, Bonnie Cassel and Talken as members of the Energy Conservation Committee; Heberle as a representative on the Joe Serna Jr. Advisory Committee; and Nava to the San Joaquin County School Boards Association.

After debating the possibility of changing high school start times to be later in the day, the Lodi Unified School District board is still not in agreement.
The board held a discussion at Tuesday night’s meeting on how the district could change school hours and what costs and impacts those changes would have.
