With seven children, married restaurateurs Les and Kim Nixon are no strangers to hard work in the kitchen. The former catering business owners have now taken their family recipes and experiences and poured them into their family eater, Nixons Deli, which opened Nov. 1 on Kettleman Lane.

They are a sandwich shop, with big, hearty sammies, soups, salads and even homemade pasta and potato salads.
