After eight years of creating unique meals for his catering company, Black Tie Gourmet, chef Julio Camberos has opened a restaurant where locals can enjoy his food without having to atttend one of his catered events.
Camberos and his wife, Aracely, opened Califas on Cherokee Lane. Califas Cafe and Bisto, which is play on the word California, specializes in cuisine made with a fusion of ingredients. The ending result are soups, paninis and main entrees that show Camberos' Latin style in favorite dishes, from a Chinese salad to Prosciutto and Basil Wrapped Chicken Breast.
