On the outskirts of town, there is a Chinese restaurant that has been a part of Lodi for 20 years. It sits in the quiet shopping center on Lower Sacramento and Turner Roads. Jade Fountain, though quiet, is comfortable and inviting.

On a Friday afternoon, a few friends and I visited Jade Fountain. We were greeted and seated immediately by Jessica Yee, who has owned the restaurant with her husband, Kenvey Yee, for over two years. It was a sunny day, and the soft light filled the dining room. It felt clean and put together and we enjoyed looking at the Chinese art and red oriental lanterns overhead.
