Logbook for Wednesday, Sept. 23

Between the hours of 8 a.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday, the Lodi Police Department received 196 calls for service. Below is a sampling of those calls.


Burglary: 11:16 a.m. — Someone stole a phone cable and copper from behind the plaza on the back side of the Dollar Tree on the 400 block of South Cherokee Lane.

Suspicious activity: 12 p.m. — Five gunshots were heard on the 300 block of East Walnut Street from an unknown direction.

Municipal code violation: 5:28 p.m. — A transient woman was in the backyard of the caller’s home on the 1100 block of Woodrow Street.

Municipal code violation: 8:41 p.m. — About 16 to 17 subjects were on the tennis courts playing football on the 100 block of Evergreen Drive.

Vandalism: 8:45 p.m. — An unknown subject was breaking out the windows to a residence on the 400 block of East Pine Street.

Robbery: 10:22 p.m. — A strong arm robbery occurred on the 2300 block of West Kettleman Lane.

Disturbance: 10:32 p.m. — The caller was walking and an unknown man told the caller, “I have a bullet for you,” on the 200 block of East Lodi Avenue.


Suspicious activity: 4:52 to 4:53 a.m. — Several callers reporting hearing three gunshots in the areas of the 300 block of West Walnut Street and the 300 block of West Lodi Avenue.
