One teen is in critical condition and one teen suffered non-life-threatening injuries after they were shot in a drive-by shooting on the 700 block of South Garfield Street on Sunday.
The shooting occured Sunday evening at 10:53 p.m. as a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old were walking down Garfield Street, according to Lodi Police Sgt. Tim Fritz.
A 1990s sedan approached them on the street and fired several rounds from a small-caliber gun, he said. Both were taken to the hospital by a private vehicle.
The 15-year-old was struck twice, once in the chest and is in critical condition. The 16-year-old was also struck in the chest and once in the arm but suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Police are continuing to investigate this incident.
