		Ryan Goldhahn Age: 18 Future plans: Attend Dartmouth College, undecided on major area of study. Activities: Water polo, swimming, conflict management, Link Crew, Community Improvement Association and California Scholarship Federation Awards and scholarships: CSF Sealbearer, Golden State Merit Diploma, The Record Pinnacle Team, Tokay High Scholar Athlete, Sigma Xi Award, National Merit Commended Student Most memorable experience: “When the bell rang for the last time!” Parents: Alan and Leanne Goldhahn

		Justin Scott Age: 17 Future plans: Attend UC Berkeley to major in mechanical engineering. “I hope to continue my hobby as a drummer and maybe one day be fortunate enough to land a deal with Free-for-all Records.” Activities: Community Improvement Association vice president, California Scholarship Federation, Link Crew, Science Olympiad, Spanish club and Vocational Industrial Clubs of America vice president Awards and scholarships: Boys’ state delegate, CSF life member, Golden State Exam Merit Diploma, Who’s Who Among American High School Students Most memorable experience: “When I beat Kyle Aarons in table soccer. Also winning regional and NorCal Science Olympiad competitions.” Parents: Zachary and Francis Scott

		Kanwarjit Kelley Age: 17 Future plans: Take the summer off. Attend UC Berkeley in the fall to study medicine. Activities: Academic Decathlon Quiz Bowl, tennis, Science Olympiad, California Scholarship Federation, math club, Amnesty International Awards and scholarships: Who’s Who Among American High School Students, Assemblyman Anthony Pescetti’s Superstar Award, International Foreign Language Award, Quiz Bowl champion and numerous medals in Science Olympiad. Most memorable experience: “Winning the school its first ever academic championship if any sort in Quiz Bowl back in 1998.” Parents: Gurdev and Gurdip Kelley

		William Fong Age: 18 Future plans: Attend the California Institute of Technology to major in mathematics. I plan on attending graduate school, maybe at MIT, and pursuing a doctorate in mathematics. Activities: Link Crew, varsity tennis, math club vice president, California Scholarship Federation, Academic Decathlon team captain, Science Bowl captain, Science Olympiad captain, Amnesty International, math tutoring, and volunteer at Salvation Army warehouse. Awards and scholarships: National Merit Commended Scholar, Golden State Merit Diploma with eight high honors, Honor Roll, Student of the Month, Link Crew, Boys State/Camp Royal nominee, Lodi Unified School District Super Star Award, and The Record Pinnacle Award Most memorable experience: Winning the regional and NorCal Science Olympiad competitions and a tennis match against Stagg 7-6, with 20-18 in the first set tiebreak. 		Jennifer Jeske Age: 17 Future plans: Go on a mission trip to Mexico and a Christian camp at Hume Lake during the summer. Attend the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign to study chemical engineering. “First and foremost, I want to live a life pleasing to God. Hopefully along those lines, I want to be able to help others either within or outside of my career.” Activities: Quail Lakes Baptist Church, soccer, badminton, Science Olympiad, member of contemporary choir, Church Day Camp volunteer, Micke Grove Zoo volunteer and science club vice president Awards and scholarships: National Merit Commendation, The Record Distinguished Student Award, Golden State Merit Diploma, Science Olympiad medals, Who’s Who Among America High School Students, Girls State Nominee, Honor Roll, Delta College Top of the Class Award, Assemblyman Anthony Pescetti’s Superstar Award, California Scholarship Federation lifetime member, Scholar Athlete and MVP for competitive soccer team Most memorable experience: “While at Tokay, I had the opportunity to be on the Science Olympiad team for two years. My most memorable experience was when our team won the Northern California state competition this year. It was our first year placing high enough at regionals to even go to the state competition. We never thought we’d win, but we did,” Parent: Jan Jeske

		Gregory Balfour Age: 18 Future plans: Attend UC Davis, undecided on major. “I plan to finish college and maybe go on to graduate school. I am thinking about pursuing a career in business and hopefully some day I will own my own business.” Activities: California Scholarship Federation, Spanish club, aluminum can collector, FBLA Club, CIA Club and Hebrew teacher Awards and scholarships: Honor Roll, Golden State Merit Diploma, Assemblyman Anthony Pescetti’s Superstar Award, and CSF Sealbearer Most memorable experience: Going to the prom and having a fabulous night. 		Thomas Davis Age: 18 Future plans: Attend University of San Diego to major in engineering. Activities: Baseball, basketball, football, student government, rally commissioner, painted parking spaces, talent show, umpired Morada Little League and California Scholarship Federation Awards and scholarships: Honor roll, Principal’s Award, Top of Class Award, Assemblyman Anthony Pescetti’s Certificate of Achievement Award, finalist in American Legion’s Boys State, Gold State Merit Diploma and State Elks Club scholarship Most memorable experience: “The time I made a half-court shot at a Tokay basketball game and won free pizzas for the whole crowd.” Parents: Jim and Fritzi Davis

		Teresa Palmer Age: 17 Future plans: Attend San Joaquin Delta College, majoring in business, then transfer to a university. “In the future I would like to run and own my own business.” Activities: Spanish club and California Scholarship Federation Awards: Golden State Merit Diploma, CSF Sealbearer, Delta College’s Top of the Class Award and The Record’s Distinguished Student Award. Most memorable experience: “Some of my fondest memories have been in watching the slide shows at the end of every year and feeling a sense of closure and accomplishment looking at another year gone by.” Parents: William and Patricia Palmer

		Ngoc M. Nguyen Age: 17 Future plans: Attend USC under the Trojan Admission to Pre-Pharmacy Program to study pharmacy. “I don’t want to simply dispense medication from behind a counter. I want to become an integral part in the management of drug therapy. I hope to contribute my time and effort to patients as well as my skills and knowledge to the profession. Most importantly, I wish to continue along the lines of current pharmacists who are on the forefront of health care.” Activities: Students in Prevention, Book Buddy, Link Crew, California Scholarship Federation, Key Club and Christian youth club Awards and scholarships: 1999 Girl State Delegate, The Record Pinnacle Award, Honorary Teen of the Month, Senate Certificate of Achievement for outstanding volunteer services, CSF Sealbearer, Certificate of Recognition for outstanding performance on nine Golden State Exams, AG Spanos Scholarship and Soroptimist International of Lodi Scholarship Most memorable experience: “I don’t have a specific memorable experience but I feel that my greatest accomplishment at Tokay was finding so many wonderful friends. I am grateful to have had their support through the many tough as well as amusing times. It’s a contentment that not any awards or certificate can compare.” Parents: Dung and Tung Nguyen
