A Lodi tool company that began in 1974 has handed the shop keys over to an international company based in Sunnyvale.
Terry Quashnick, founder and president of Quashnick Tools on Main Street, sold his company to Cepheid, a company that develops genetic tests. Cepheid makes tests to diagnose genetic-based diseases very rapidly by automating lab procedures that are complicated to do by hand.
