It’s the time of the month when the News-Sentinel checks with local growers to see the status of produce at area farms.
Growers are still feeling the hangover from a cool spring and have pushed their harvest dates back accordingly. The cherry and asparagus harvests are done, and grape and olive growers are waiting for their crops to develop so they can start picking in a few months.
