I agree Pat. Good luck at the paper Dan, I know your care for people and their stories will shine through even more as the photo chief. You're one of the most driven and talented photographers I've ever worked with.Always push the limits of what photojournalism can do and bring that glimmer of light to the worlds blanketed truths. Marty: There is a greater story behind this young man. Four years ago Daniel and I were hospital roommates. He was in for his second round of lung surgery and I for open heart surgery. At the time I think he only weighed about 100 pounds and it was somewhat in doubt that he would survive. His parents were the epitome of support and will. Daniel was in excrutiating pain...so much so that I was almost ashamed to even make a groan. Yet, he took time to apologize to me for feeling so bad. The week he returned home he started back taking pictures barely able to carry his camera and equipment. This young man is tough!!! Daniel is good at his craft...I know because I have some his artistry in my office. He will be a great asset to your newspaper.
