On the backs of a classically trained chef pushing out food in a cramped kitchen, California Street Pub is positioning itself as a premier destination for pub grub in Lodi.

With recent Le Cordon Bleu Academy of Sacramento graduate Anthony Villasenor in charge of the kitchen, California Street Pub is looking to satisfy the hunger pangs of its customers with food made from fresh ingredients for a low price every night of the week. Since Villasenor's graduation several weeks ago, the pub has expanded its food offerings to every night.

That's not pub food, that's just another Mexican restaurant. Fish & chips, reubens, burgers, bangers & mash, club sandwiches, calamari, etc is pub food. Tortas, tacos, quesadillas, salsa are all things available at every taco truck and half the eateries in town.

Christian Cole (I am assuming you are reading this to see what people's responses are): Some others on here may remember me asking this before, last time Lodi's night life was reported on, but how's the dance floor? I've been wanting to go out dancing with my wife but not really able to find much other than the yearly crab feeds. I've asked around and usually hear the same thing, go to Sacramento.

I looked on-line at the reviews, and you have some very loyal posters there, but some mentioned a small dance floor.

Anyone else ever been there and wants to chime on on them, I'd appreciate it.
