Economist offers advice to local businesses

Lodi businesses have endless possibilities when it comes to improving the workforce to combat the bad economy, a U.S. economist told local business owners Wednesday.

Nearly 200 business owners from Lodi and throughout the San Joaquin Valley came to hear Nathaniel Karp, chief United States economist for the financial company BBVA Compass, talk about what businesses can do not only to stay afloat in an unstable economy, but how to increase revenue in the future.
