The United States has a long history of raising sheep for meat and wool; however, the dairy sheep industry is relatively new. Ewetopia Dairy, which opened in 2013, is tapping into the ever-growing demand for sheep milk and cheese.
The dairy, located in Denair, has been producing milk for about a year and making cheese for the past six months. Their cheese can be found at the Downtown Lodi Farmers Market, hosted by the Lodi District Chamber of Commerce every Thursday.
