On Tuesday March 11, the Leadership Lodi Class of 2014 continued their year-long journey with Non Profit Day. The day consisted of visits with 14 non-profit organizations, each with wish lists and proposals for the class to select for their year-long community service project.
The day began at the World of Wonders Science Museum, which included hands-on time for the class to explore their inner scientists. Presentations came from the Lodi Adult Literacy Program, Lodi Public Library and the WOW Science Museum. The morning also included an inspirational speech on seeking a non-profit that fits one’s passion by Peter Johnson from the University of the Pacific.
