Ken Nieland, president of the Lodi Sandhill Crane Association, and Heritage Oak Winery will be honored for their contributions to Lodi tourism efforts at the seventh annual tourism luncheon on May 7.

Nieland, who retired almost a year ago as director of Micke Grove Zoo, now devotes his time to the Sandhill Crane Festival, which takes place each November with tours of the Delta, plus lectures and displays at Hutchins Street Square. He will be given the Tourism Advocate of the Year award.
