Rain spurs local businesses

Being pelted with rain and assaulted by stiff winds can be unpleasant, but for many local businesses this string of wet weather is just what they need to keep busy.

It is well-known that rough weather reminds people to protect their possessions, and companies in the business of watching over valuables, property and homesteads have seen an influx of calls for service this week. Tree services, towing companies, roofing businesses and alarm companies have been active this week helping residents and motorists cope with wet weather and blustery winds.
