The "open" sign blinks brightly in the afternoon light as customers stroll in and out of the newly remodeled A&W Root Beer restaurant on Lodi Avenue.
The restaurant, which was closed for six weeks, has reopened and now sports a fresh coat of orange, brown and white paint that time-warps the restaurant back to the 1960s, when the colors that are now the trademark A&W pallette first appeared.

A&W is an American Icon. Shame on the bank(s) that wouldn't go the extra mile for the owners. This is about as un-American and anti-business as it gets. Such a tax generator for the city and not one bank willing to give a loan for a drive-thru. Makes me sick to my stomach thinking about it. Nice going Mr. Bankers! ):

Shocking that the Banks could not pony up a few thousand dollars for a drive through. I suppose it would have shortened the bonus checks.
