The San Joaquin County forecast is promising, with possibilities for growth, a strong housing market and low unemployment. Nonetheless, fuel and heating bills will continue to increase because of inflation.
The economic future of the county was one of several topics talked about at the "Economic Outlook Breakfast," organized by the Business Forecasting Center in the Eberhardt School of Business at University of the Pacific. At the discussion, economists made predictions not only for the county, but for the state, and nation. Other speakers discussed issues faced by the federal government and county healthcare industry. Business and government officials were the majority of the audience at the event.
