Calivirgin Olive Oil, an extra-virgin olive oil made by Lodi’s Coldani Olive Ranch, recently won a gold medal award in the highly esteemed New York International Olive Oil Competition. In its second year, the New York International Olive Oil Competition is recognized as one of the most important olive oil awards in the world.

Judging was completed by a panel of leading international experts who tasted over 650 extra-virgin olive oils from 22 different countries. Calivirgin Arbequina, a monovarietal, was one of 21 gold medals awarded to the United States in various varietal categories, making the U.S. the third-highest medaling country in the competition. Italy led with 51 gold medals and Spain followed with 27.
