San Joaquin County Enterprise Zone set to expire in January 2014

A special workshop regarding San Joaquin County’s Enterprise Zone will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the WorkNet Building, 56 S. Lincoln St., Stockton. County experts on the business Enterprise Zone program will give the presentation.

Speakers will discuss California’s plan to eliminate the state income tax incentive for businesses that locate within the zone’s boundaries. The tax incentive plan will end on Jan. 1, 2014.

    Downtown Lodi will look like a ghost town within 5 years with the government welfare checks discontinuing for the wealthy who know how to game the system.
