The Lodi Wine Guy moves on
It's been 479 blogs over 3-plus years. Thanks to all who have paid my Lodi wine writing a visit!

Changing of the Guard
After 479 blogs, it's time to relinquish my title as "The Lodi
Wine Guy," and say a final thank you to my publisher, Marty
Weybret, my editor, Rich Hanner, and especially to all of you, my
supportive readers.
I'm glad to have had the opportunity to make progress toward
making Lodi a bit smarter about wine, and from the healthy crowds
we've seen recently in tasting rooms, more of you are getting out
to sample the end-product of our dedicated winegrape growers.
All my working hours will now be focused on my increasingly
successful Lodi winery clients and our own brand, Panthos by Pantheon Cellars to be released in a few
months.
I'm not giving up on wine writing, however. You'll be able to
keep up with what I'm doing at our blog at Panthos.BlogSpot.com, at Facebook.com/Panthos, or at BorraVineyards.com where extremely talented young
winemaker Markus Niggli is producing some of Lodi's finest
wines.
I'd also like to plug my colleague, Randy Caparoso, who is
prolifically contributing top-notch Lodi wine writing to LodiWine.com.
Lodi News-Sentinel won't be left high and dry. Marty's got
something new wine-wise up his sleeve. Cheers!

Word goes that Weybret is quite a wine connisseur himself, supposedly also quite an overimbiber himself, according to some internet postings a while back, among other unmentionable accusations.
