Wow, I really took a loooong break from this blog. My apologies, the retail world pretty much took over my life towards the end of last year. Glad to be back!

It seems these days that we all have the same wants, with a little less in our pocket book to satiate them. Where can one find a frugal foodie vacation worth its weight in Italian white truffles? Bend, Oregon is an easy seven hour drive from us and offers some of the best, most innovative food anywhere. You can stay there on the cheap and enjoy a town full of art, culture, great shopping, outdoor activities and most importantly, wonderfully creative and casual cuisine.
