I won't be thinking at all about the extra time it will take me to get through the airport today or the extra security measures, but what our country went through on this sad day years ago. It feels like it was just yesterday that I sat at House of Coffees, feeling comfort, sadness and kinship with other Lodian's, sitting glued to the television in awe of the unspeakable and terrifying events that occurred. Food is interesting, but not an important topic today. I don't think there is a one of us who will ever forget the tremendous loss we felt that day and the momentary fear that our precious freedom may be lost forever. God bless all of us on this important day and may we continue to heal but never forget.

"Time is passing. Yet, for the United States of America, there will be no forgetting September the 11th. We will remember every rescuer who died in honor. We will remember every family that lives in grief. We will remember the fire and ash, the last phone calls, the funerals of the children. " - President George W. Bush, November 11, 2001

Should graduations return to the Grape Bowl?

Lodi Unified leaders are moving Lodi and Tokay high school graduations from the Grape Bowl to the Spanos Center at UOP in Stockton. They cite limited seating, costs and unpredictable weather at the Grape Bowl. But others say graduations at the Grape Bowl are an important Lodi tradition, and one reason many supported renovating the stadium. What do you think?
