And why wouldn’t they? It’s delicious, easy to make and cheap, cheap, cheap!
Consider it a blank slate to add in any of your favorite flavors. Its great sautéed with leftover meat and veggies. I love it very simple – with butter and a little finely chopped parsley.
•2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
•1 teaspoon salt
•1 egg, well beaten
•1/4 to 3/4 cup water
Place flour and salt in a bowl. Place eggs in center and combine. Add water until dough is still firm, but very sticky. Allow to sit for fifteen minutes. Boil water and season with salt. Flour your work surface well. Thinly tear or cut small pieces off and toss with flour. Keep doing this until you have the amount you would like. Place in boiling water and stir for bit to make sure they don’t clump together. It will only take a few minutes to float to the top and be done. Strain and mix with a little warm butter. Big time yumminess!
