Save that pie filling

The time is getting closer for making those homemade pies for Thanksgiving. If you end up with more pie filling than you need, save it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. Did you know there are only 53 days until Christmas? That means those Christmas cards will soon be filling up your mailbox. They are fun to display during the season, but what can you do with them afterwards? Someone recently told me about how a friend of hers uses them. You can cut the photos out of the card, make a hole and put some raffia ribbon through it. You can then use them as gift tags. Here are some other ways I found that you can read about here

Have you recently received some fresh flowers you would like to preserve? You can dry them by placing them on a bed of clean litter in an airtight container for seven to 10 days.
