Want tater tots with your hamburgers for tonight's meal? You can now make them yourself. Just bake potatoes and let them sit in the refrigerator overnight to firm up. Rub off the skins and grate them. Season them and roll into balls. Fry for one to two minutes until browned or bake them. Here are some extra uses for baking soda that can take the place of items you might buy in the store. Add 1/2 cup baking soda to your bath for an at-home spa treatment. For instant relief from bug bites or sunburn, mix baking soda with a little water and apply it directly to the sore. Gargle with baking soda or use it as a mouthwash. Discourage weeds by sprinkling baking soda into the cracks on your driveway and walkways. For more baking soda uses, visit http://www.clippergirl.com/31-uses-for-baking-soda.

If you have bars of soap given to you as gifts that are just laying around you can use them to make homemade body wash. Just shred the soap and add two cups of water and then heat on the stove until dissolved. Then, just pour it into a body wash bottle. For more information, visit http://www.frugalvillage.com.
