I've been surfing the web, trying to make sense of the debate over intervening in Syria. Here are a couple of suprising turns of events I've come across plus some interesting summaries:
I have lots of questions and haven't yet made up my mind. I'm struck that besides Sen. John McCain, few conservatives support the intervention. Are conservatives suddenly tired of war or just against it because President Obama is for it?
And then there's these two questions that are really nagging me:
Why has the Arab League offered to fund an invasion of Syria? (Washington Post)
Would a U.S. attack on Syria, without UN support, be legal? Although I spotted this question in “Key questions answered” article by the Guardian above, I don't think the article actually answers the question.
