Emma Greene update: She's doing quite well
Posted on
October 19, 2011
Good news: Emma Greene is out of ICU and may be released from
the Lucile Packard Children's Hospital next week.
Emma underwent successful liver/lung transplants and is
improving each day, said her mom, Hayley.
She is Lodi High's valedictorian for 2011. Emma has Cystic
Fibrosis, which compromises the respiratory system.
When she is released from the hospital, Emma will move into the
Ronald McDonald house on the Stanford campus, adjacent to the
hospital. It is special housing reserved for long-term patients and
their families.
In the meantime, Emma is using a new iPad, watching TV, walking
around the hospital ward, and generally gaining strength.

I don't know Emma, but I read about her in my son's yearbook and have been following her story. I am so glad to see that she is doing well. She sounds like an amazing girl. Good luck to you Emma.
