Teichert's supervisors drive green and white trucks. If you see them directing trench work and asphalt patching in front of your house, you're getting a new water main.

The supporting water main replacement project has been in full swing in our neighborhood for several weeks now. Without question, this is the worst experience, as a homeowner, that we have had to endure during the nearly 20 years that we have been living in Lodi. The oppressive noise, constant heavy equipment, and the resulting DUST is like a bad dream that just won't end. Add to that the leftover dirt and the incomplete trench that runs the length of our street – what a disgrace. Every-time a car passes by a roaring dust cloud follows. We are very unhappy and displeased with all of this. It would be different if the project brought an added benefit, however, a new water main sounds great but it doesn't really make a tangible difference (it's probably more related to the meters than they lead on) and we just “can’t wait” for the City to being gouging us for more money on our water bill. I just want to give a big shout-out to the City of Lodi and say “YOU SUCK” for arbitrarily digging up our nice streets, creating all this misery just so you can dig deeper into our already overtaxed pockets.

Well, as a division of the city of Lodi, I would assume that the Parks & Rec dept. would get a pass on water meters, since they would in essence be paying themselves. I will assure you that Lodi Unified will be going on meters just as any other commerical enterprise in Lodi The City of Lodi and Lodi Unified are in fact, individual government entities and noit entitled to "special priviledges" from each other, although there is "consideration" given to one another regarding transactions that would be beneficial to the taxpayer, such as the use of the Grape Bowl for graduations by Lodi Unified, or the use of Lodi Unified fields for City of Lodi programs. In any event, Lodi Unified gets no special favors from the City in reagards to water usage.

Will industrial users of water (our worst water wasters) get water meters also? How about government users like Parks and Rec and also the school district?
