Well the holidays are coming and sweets always seem to be some part of the menu. Here is a very simple sweet treat that I concocted yesterday

It was quick. It was easy and I wanted then to share it with all of you.

1 cup peanut butter (I used chunky)

1/2 cup honey

1 cube of butter

Place all in a pan and heat on low to medium until melted. Make sure not to burn it. In a large bowl, dump all these ingredients:

2 cups old fashioned oats

1/4 cup toasted whole almonds

1/4 cup sunflower seeds (I used unsalted)

1/4cup golden raisins

1/4 cup craisins

1/4 cup chocolate chips (I used dark chocolate mini chips)

1 teaspoon vanilla

As soon as all the ingredients are melted in the pan, pour this over the ingredients in the bowl and stir. Spray a 9x13-inch or 9x9-inch pan with cooking spray and then pour the mixture in the pan. Press it in with a rubber spatula and place in the refrigerator until it is firmly set. Then cut and enjoy. Truly yummy and lots of goodness.

Note: Another little side tip — This peanut butter drizzle mixture would be amazingly good on ice cream or as a dip for graham crackers or apples and then have a little bowl filled with the mini chocolate chips and sprinkle them on too.
