I saw another one of those proposed bills be introduced this week. You know, the one that puts parental responsibility on the shoulders of someone else.

The proposal would require caregivers learn more abouth healthy snacks and meals, portion control and what to feed children in order to get their licenses. The idea is it will reverse the growing trend of obese children.

There's nothing wrong with teaching our children to eat better, but isn't that the job of a parent? And why do we need legislation encouraging the obvious?

Am I off base here? Share your thoughts with me about this proposed legislation. You can read more here: http://www.thecalifornian.com/article/20130212/NEWS05/302120033/1002/rss?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
