Did you move your students to California from another state?

Or does you sister live in another state and you want to compare her children are doing, on average, compared to your children?

Maybe you're a teacher weighing a move to another state and want to see what your salary might be.

A new website makes this possible.

The “States in Motion” compares 16 different sets of data, including achievement test scores, teacher salaries and student enrollments in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Users can compare California's schools to those of other states, not only currently but annual comparisons going back to 1970 with inflation adjustments for economic data.

Should graduations return to the Grape Bowl?

Lodi Unified leaders are moving Lodi and Tokay high school graduations from the Grape Bowl to the Spanos Center at UOP in Stockton. They cite limited seating, costs and unpredictable weather at the Grape Bowl. But others say graduations at the Grape Bowl are an important Lodi tradition, and one reason many supported renovating the stadium. What do you think?
